Steps to Manhood Mentoring Program
The Center for Community Development’s Steps to Manhood (STM) mentoring program provides boys the comprehensive support and training necessary to transition from boys to men. STM incorporates the experience of Christian men and the wisdom of God’s word to prepare our boys to be contributors to their family and their community. The STM program teaches decision-making, leadership development, teamwork and financial literacy. We provide boys and young men an opportunity to gain exposure outside of their neighborhood through career counseling and college tours. STM meets every Saturday 11am-noon at Christ Bible Church, 7877 S. Coles Ave in Chicago. We provide services for boys in grades k-12. For more information or to enroll a student, please email cntrforcommdev@sbcglobal.net or call 773 322-2248.

HOPE
Have you looked into the eyes of a boy without hope? I have-and it changed me. As the father of three boys, I think about my sons when I look into the eyes of a boy without hope.
Many of the boys I work with don't know what the future holds for them. They live only for today. For some, the world is limited to their drug-infested neighborhood. That's why the Center for Community Development exists-to offer hope. Through our Steps to Manhood Mentoring Program, we provide hope for the future for boys in grades K-12. Our boys have been studying the wisdom the Lord has given us in the book of Proverbs. In addition to hope, we offer help with homework.
The Center for Community Development provides transportation to and from all mentoring sessions. As you know, gas prices have risen significantly. With your gift of $25 we can transport our boys to and from our mentoring activites for two weeks. A gift of $50 will provide gas for one month. Or, a more generous gift of $100 will provide funds for a field trip. For your convenience, you can click on the following link to make a secure, on-line donation: http://www.cfcdevelopment.com/donation.html
